Come join fellow community members for a nationwide simultaneous reading aloud of the Declaration of Independence! There will be a short program at 5:40 PM before the reading at 6 PM here on the front grounds of Lane Place!

About the event
On Wednesday, July 8, at 6 pm, people in Montgomery County will join others across the country in a simultaneous reading aloud of the Declaration of Independence. This is part of the "Sharing the Spirit of America" celebration, initiated by the Hawai'i America250 Commission.
Please join the Montgomery County Historical Society in front of Lane Place at 5:40 PM for a short program before the reading begins promptly at 6 PM.
WHY on July 8? Because that's when the original Declaration was first read aloud in public!
