Welcome to MoCo America250!
In 2026, the United States turns 250—and Montgomery County is joining the celebration! Throughout the year, check here for county events, community projects, and activities that spotlight our rich history, our diverse stories, and the people who helped shape this remarkable place we call home.
A dynamic team of historians, civic leaders, cultural partners, and county staff has already been hard at work designing meaningful, educational—and yes, fun—programs and events for residents of all ages. Check out the list of events on this page. There’s so much on the horizon, and you won’t want to miss it.

America 250th Birthday Bash
We're taking the concert inside! Wabash has generously agreed to let us get out of the heat, humidity, and possible thunderstorms!
- UPDATED LOCATION: Salter Hall at Wabash
- Concert will be at 3 PM. The building will open at 2 PM.
- Cupcakes and lemonade are available before and after the concert, but are not allowed in Salter Hall.
- DIRECTIONS: From HWY 231/Washington Street: Take Wabash Ave. west off of Washington St., then south on Grant Ave. The Fine Arts Center (FAC) will be located on the left or east side of the road.
- PARKING: The FAC parking lot is located just south of the center over the railroad tracks, with the entrance on Grant Ave. If this lot is full, street parking is available north and east of the center.
NAtional Declaration Reading
- LOCATION: Lane Place
- Join fellow community members for a nationwide simultaneous reading of the Declaration of Independence! There will be a short program at 5:40 PM before the reading at 6 PM here on the front grounds of Lane Place!
