Fall Colors In Montgomery County

Has anyone else noticed just how gorgeous it is outside this time of year? We certainly have at Lane Place! With so many tree on our nearly 5 acres we have quite the array of colors showing up around us. If you want to take a quick walk around outside and enjoy the fall color then you should head on over and enjoy our grounds today! It might be a little chilly but seeing the fall leaves and colors is worth it!

If you just can't get enough of this autumnal season then we have to suggest that you check out Shades State Park! Near Waveland, IN, Shades is a local favorite for hiking and canoeing. While it might be getting a bit cold for canoeing, hiking this time of year can be an amazing experience! The beautiful sandstone cliffs beside the Sugar Creek make for a stunning vista.

If you're looking for a challenge check out their Pine Hills Nature Preserve for topography unlike anything you've seen and the most incredible views! It's a bit of a hike, but has in our opinion some of the most spectacular views of the state!
